Mair/Maid Rajput

Mair Kshatriya', Mair Rajput Rajput (Punjabi translation) is the name of a oldest warriors from Aryan community of India.
Mair, Meir had originally migrated from the regions of Ajmer-Merwara and Rajputana thousands of years ago with the movement
of the armies that brought Rajput rule over many parts of the country many in other times due to Islamic invasions on their
homeland of Ajmer-Merwara (in present day Rajasthan) and had settled down in all over northern india hundreds of years ago.
These people have a rich tradition and are proud of their heritage and culture.
The "Merh" are listed as a subgroup of goldsmiths in Rajasthan along with the "Mair Rajputs" of Punjab.

Although several Mair Rajput gothras may have Bhatti Rajput origins. Merh Sonars in Madhya Pradesh, the most common surnames are Chandravanshi, Chauhan, Dahiya, Pawar, Rathor, and Suryavanshi,
and a group of the goldsmiths is called Ajmerji . The Doondari, Marwari, and Rajputana are groups of goldsmiths living in Delhi, Doondar, Marwar, and Rajputana are all part of
present-day Rajasthan. The Gehlot (Sisodia) Rajputs and Bhalla Rajputs are listed as allied clans to the goldsmiths, Mair Rajputs.
